Christmas Biscuits (Cookies) 2007

DSC01397.JPG, originally uploaded by cordeauphotos.

Well the Cordeau's don't have many traditions, but we almost forgot about this one until my my mom called and reminded us. Every year she makes us Christmas Biscuits, and Kristi has taken on that tradition since we got married. Basically they are pilsbury doughboy biscuits with green icing in the shape of a christmas tree and they are delicious, however this year with the news of twins among other things (work and school and Christmas parties) we forgot :(. But Kristi saved the day by going to walgreens and picking up some cookies.

They don't have biscuits at walgreens so this year we are having Christmas Cookies at 10:50pm. They are yummy :) and next year we will need to make sure we get to the store before Christmas day LOL.

Our other tradition we will be carrying on as well next week when all the sales are on. We always get some clothes, blankets, etc for a few folks at the nursing home and we have done it before Christmas each year, again except for this one, but we will be able to find some good deals after Christmas which means we can buy more items for the nursing homes. Well time for more cookies :), Merry Christmas and good night.

it's been a while

Ok, so it's been a while since i posted anything about the progress of the babies. They are great. As you know there are now two and we are beyond what words can explain. So far let me just tell you a few things that have made us giggle along the way...
There was the time when I thought I killed the baby with Vicks Vapor Rub. I called my doctor in a panic... his nurse calmly told me that it was ok to use Vicks Vapor Rub
When we went for our first ultrasound pic, I was laying in bed when Brian came to say bye on his way out to work, and he touched the tummy and said I'll meet you for the firs time today...I believe it was the sweetest thing I have ever heard.
Let me just say that Brian is so so so good to me. and I am so weird about everything. Brian has had to limit my internet use because I have convinced myself that the babies are going to have every rare disease and disorder possible.
I think if i was allowed to call my doctor anytime i thought something was wrong he would never have any time for any other patients.
I've calmed down alot. and that is good. so we are going along with this wonderful time in our lives. we'll keep you posted on the up coming events.

It's funny how...

Two words can make a big change in your life. Kristi an I have been through a lot of changes over the last 4.5 years starting with two words "I do" and beginning a life together.

Then two words changed both of our lives again when she said "I'm pregnant" ok well that is really three words if you get technical about it, but its early in the morning.

Now two more words have changed our lives, the words "uh oh" by the nurse in the ultrasound room. When I heard her say uh oh my heart sank because I thought something bad had happened and felt sick. Kristi jokingly said "There's not two in there is there?. A few minutes later the "uh oh" was revealed to us that there were twins. Talk about shocked, when the nurses and doc left we looked at each other and didn't know what to say, what do you say to that? Kristi handed me the keys and said, i think you need to drive us home, so we left and called our parents and everyone was ecstatic. We ended up going to Target that night and Office Depot because I wanted to get my intern at the office a thank you present. I think we were both walking around like zombies that night in shock that we would have the pitter patter of two little ones running around the house.

Kristi even made up a song:

"There are two there are two, one for me and one for you"....

It sounds funny the way she sings it LOL, we are excited and it kicked me into gear to get my Master's program done too, so i can focus on being a dad. June seems like a long ways a way, but I'm sure time will fly. Well I have to get back to my final, four more pages to go and I am done with the semester :).

ultrasound-12-6-2007

This is when we found out that there were two babies in there. you can see both of their heads right next to each other. they are in two different sacs so we don't know if they will be identical or not. We have to wait to find out until they get here.
