Kimi and her babies

DSC_2772.JPG, originally uploaded by cordeauphotos.

So the girls started sleeping in their own room a few weeks ago. And this has really disturbed Kimi. She is frequently found lying on this little rug in the girls room. She is watching over her little ones. I hope she loves them this much when they start chasing her around and pulling her tail. We will see!!!

The Table

My mom (Nana Barbie) got the girls this table. And I am absolutely positive that it was the best 200$ she ever spent. The girls sit in the table and we sit across from them and feed them and read to them and hang out with the. When i am getting ready to feed them I put them in there and then make what ever it is that they are going to eat and we talk about it, and they play and they just watch me the whole time. It is so cool!!!

In this pic, Kalli is really tired. She had just got done eating and just put her head down and went night night. That is pretty pitiful!!!

More Presents!!

This is the very gigantic bear from Tia. Kallison is just not sure what to think about this bear.

This is Christmas #3 when Nana Barbie and Ted came down. The girls got even more stuff. I think my mom got them clothes until they are at least 3. I love it. I think that this is Aida in this picture helping Nana Barbie open her gift. The girls got her a very nice framed trio picture.

How Time Has Passed

Well this was going to be my end of the year blog, however it is now January 9th so this is my middle of the first month of the new year blog :). I haven't had time to write obviously we are super busy with Kallison and Aida, school, life, etc.

A short year ago (http://kbcordeau.blogspot.com/2007/12/its-funny-how.html) we had just found out that we were having two babies for the price of one. (There are two there are two one for me and one for you!!). Well that's not really how it works in real life, the doctors, formula, diapers, etc are (brace yourself) double the cost LOL. There aren't any twin discounts apparently, this also does not work for day care or any other services. But there is also double the love, double the milestones, double the sweet laughter, double the joy, and more. Its pretty amazing that God chose us to be the parents of these two sweet girls, the love that they bring to us is unbelievable and it gets better everyday.

The first few months were crazy with the no sleeping, 2 am feedings, uncertainty about what to do, ER visits, etc but I feel like we have done pretty well considering everything. Kristi is an awesome wife and mom its amazing to see her with the girls and how good she does with them. She plays with them all day still manages to put up with me at the end of the day.

We definitely did not know what to expect even with all the "baby steps" classes which were useful, but when you get the babies in the house and everyone is gone then the real fun begins. There were some trying times, but we made it this far and everyday when they smile and laugh it makes it all worth it. They are really starting to play with each other now and grab hands and laugh at each other. When they are eating oatmeal together it is hilarious to see Kallison look over at Aida and burst out laughing (maybe its all the oatmeal on her face). Then Aida does the same thing LOL.

The other morning Aida was crying in their crib and Kallison was still trying to sleep so Kallison pulled her Paci out of her mouth and stuck it in Aida's for a few seconds to sooth her LOL. It was so sweet and she did it twice.

I want to say thank you to everyone for your love and support, these girls have love coming from all directions :).

Milestones

WOW!!! I cant believe how much and how fast the grow. Kallison has started crawling backwards. Aida is very good at crawling backwards. They can both sit up unsupported. But Aida has taken it a step further and is now able to go from laying on her tummy/back to sitting up by herself. We started solid foods in December and so far they have had Rice cereal, Oatmeal cereal, green beans, carrots, and prunes. Next week we are going to try peas!! How exciting is that? Since they have started solid foods we have also given them "handles" on their bottles so that they can get used to the handles as if it was a sippy cup. And today while at school Kallison sat in her carseat and drank her whole bottle by herself. She held on to the handles and drank it all. Aida held the handles but then got tired at let go!! she was tired from doing all the sitting up. It still amazes me that there is two of them and then they do something everyday that amazes me more and more everyday. I am so privileged to have these little sponges that are so eager to learn about the world. And I get to teach them!!! That ROCKS!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!
